Action, the Lecture to Mankind

A wise man once said “great actions speak to all mankind,” and they most certainly do. Action is the universal language of the world. No one will ever need a translator for what is seen with their own eyes. Actions are louder than words. People can sit in a room and debate all they want, but when the action is started, heads will turn. Most importantly GREAT actions will be publicized. In modern times of fast communication, and television, news worthy great action easily becomes the talk and example of the world. A single grain of rice will tip the scale, so a great action will resonate though history forever.

No matter the ethnicity, action is an understandable universal language. Great scale acts are things that happen, that have no need to be spoken for. Through just an act, a million thoughts, words, and emotions can come rushing through a person, even through the most narcissistic of individuals or cultures. September 11th 2001, is a date that has no need to be spoken for. While it was an inhuman act, it clearly illustrated the thoughts of the terrorist toward America. It is a saddening example of the clarity and power of action. Through that one act there were tears, anger, ideals of what is to come, and cries of frustration. That one horrifying act in a single second conveyed a message to the entire world. No words were spoken, but all cultures understood. Actions, even cruel and depressing, speak to all mankind, for you don’t need to hear words to think.

While actions speak universally, they also speak louder than any word that can be contemplated. Action over word is the one case where the pen is not mightier than the sword. Can people really say that everything brought up and debated upon in governments really causes commotion? Really it is the inevitable act of a debate that cause heads to turn, voices to be raised, sighs to be breathed, and notice to be taken. Not just point blank cases are examples of the voice of action. Take for example oil. One man once found a massive use for it, and as we keep on using it. Some people noticed that oil would run out some day, and little attention was paid to their ply. Now the moment has come when there is an energy crisis at our feet, and now people are starting to see. Action is the moment of clarity, when there is no more hypothetical or doubt. It is the end all, know all. Action is the loud reverberating voice that can pierce the thickest skull.

The other blessing great action has, besides its loud voice, is its ability to be publicized. Is there any massive happening in the world today that won’t end up on the news? It is obvious that not every idea or lecture can be scene on CNN, but every great action will become media attention. After an act is publicized, that single action is in every language known, spreading to all corners of the known world. Not to mention that with today’s modern and fast communication, that can happen in just a split second. World War II is a great example of how action is spread. What could be a greater action than a war, and when the invention of the video recorder captured the brutality of that war, it reached all people. A wise man can mumble about his ideas to everyone he can, but it is not until he acts that it becomes mobile.

Great actions aren’t just the voices of the present, but of the future as well. Truly great action will be documented; whether it is because of great stupidity, or the great achievement. History is a record not just so we can know what happened to our four fathers, but to learn from our mistakes and our achievements. Modern examples include the Battle of Britain, which gave use the famous words, “Never, have so many, owed so much, too so few.” Another modern example can be John F. Kennedy’s remarkable voice on patriotism, “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country. My fellow citizen of the world, ask not what America can do for you, but what together we can so for the freedom of man.” Their actions were taken and now they are example for all. Great action will speak to all mankind, and then the act is recorded in the many voices mankind possesses. Then as time goes by it becomes a reference that is forever embedded in history. It is left to resonate through the halls of knowledge, forever influencing the future days to come.

First Paragraph on Good Design

If I were to design a product of form and function, I would create the Hologram Projector. The Hologram Projector would be aesthetically pleasing. The superficial aspect of it would look as good as the very projections it would create. The Hologram Projectors would pride itself on functionality. With its easy manipulation and futuristic principals, it would only be considered a dream come true. Its usage would lead to better learning. With Its hands on visual studies and manipulation this technology would became a staple of the modern classroom. People’s lives in the present and future would become forever revolutionized, as the technology of the Hologram Projector becomes a commonality of daily society.

The Computed Influence

Computers have been a major influence on today’s world, making this technology the one that most benefits society. Computers supply us with the ability to research properly. With it we can look up information on politics, doctors, school projects, and just about anything our heart desires. The computer supplies us with the tools and software to create and design. It allows us to write articles on programs like Microsoft Word, make presentations on PowerPoint, edit images on programs like I Photo, or take it to the web to design videos with tools like Animoto. On the computer we also satisfy our need for entertainment. With the web, we can go to youtube.com for our favorite funny short, or go to a gaming website to play a game. Although the computer has come a long way, it will continue to revolutionize our lives now and for many years to come.

—————————————–

—————————————–

Through the computer, the world does research to find out what it needs. With search engines like Google or ask.com, we can search for anything we want. If someone needs to do research for a big business meeting, the computer can bring them to an informational web site all about the numbers they need. Can anyone even think of a project or a problem they had where it was not possible to do research on the computer to find the answer? If someone can’t decide whom to vote for, they can take it to their computer. In a few seconds, they can be on a chat about which candidate is the best, or on a website on a candidate’s views and beliefs.

The computer keeps the world connected. It is vital for our world’s existence. Even the doctors, politicians, surgeons, and many other important people in today’s society need to turn to computers. Whether it is to find the right college for a politician’s educational needs or to find the latest treatment for cancer, the computer has the answer. The computer supplies us with the ways to do the research for our daily living and supplies use with the software to mold it.

——————————————

——————————————

While giving the world a place to do research, the computer also supplies us with the software to create and design what we need. After someone gets their research off the web, there are many things that can be done with the information.  The old poster and marker is nice, but the computer allows use to do so much more. Through tools like Microsoft Excel, people can put all of their information in very organized charts. Keynote and PowerPoint are programs that help a user make slide shows. Microsoft Word allows a user to write organized reports with ease. Those are just a few examples; the computer lets us organize, present, crop, schedule, and even stay in the loop. The software for the computer can even be taken to the internet with programs like Animoto. Animoto is a program that allows people to turn slides into animated films. The software on a computer organizes and presents the world’s data. Without computers properly displaying what we need would be a practically hopeless endeavor, and so would entertainment.

——————————————

——————————————

The computer lets us design and create with software, but after a long day’s work on the computer, it satisfies another need we have, entertainment. All work and no play make jack a dual boy. The computer helps us relax, and maybe have a laugh or two.

Whether it’s through the comical videos we can find on youtube.com, or the fun games that are found on the internet, the computer helps. We can even buy entertainment features for our computers, such as: music, games, and many other things. Even banks make online games for their employees to occasionally play. Even gaming systems are computers. The Xbox 360, the Play Station 3, even the Nintendo were all computers turned sideways and given a user friendly screen. Even phones are just tiny computers with specific functions. The computer even keeps us entertained through our friends. Through programs like Skype, Aim, and Twitter, we can chat, speak with, or even video chat with friends and family from great distances away. The computer helps us do work and then has the ability to keep us sane. Without the computer, many of the entertainment features we hold for granted would be gone, but the computer is here to stay.

——————————————

——————————————

The computer is going to greatly influence the future just as it has today’s society. The computer will always be around, for the services it offers will always be wanted and needed. Even as technology advances, the computer will advance with it staying just as vital in the future. Computers will become tinier and more efficient as time goes by. Soon the pen computer will be the entire computer. All we need will be the size of a toothbrush container. Computers will also evolve to be faster and less prone to break down. It is thought that by year 2049, computers will well surpass human computing speed. It used to be just a few years ago that 1000 super computers were needed to match the processing power of one human brain. With out the computer, the many programs we use would not exist, but as the computer continues to evolve, so will its many properties. It is safe to say the computer is here to stay and be the future’s most important technological advancement.

Many people have asked me what rick rolling or getting rick roll’d is. Some people have even asked me how to get rick roll’d.  So to properly explain I made this post.  To put it simply rick rolling is making a faulty link that instead of taking the user to what he wants it takes the user to a music video of Rick Astley’s song “Never Gonna Give You Up”. Rick Rolling became so famous people started making their own music videos for Rick’s song.  To properly explain rick rolling I linked a web site all about it.
